Fortinus supports Digital Borders – The Future of Border Control

July 11, 2017

The Reform Group Trust – an independent think tank based in Westminster – has today published its report on the future of Border Control.

Tony Smith, Managing Director of Fortinus Global Ltd and a key contributor to the paper, said

“We at Fortinus are very pleased to have contributed to this excellent research into the future of border control – not just in the U.K. but across the world. Volume, complexity and risk in Border Management continues to increase. It is vital that Border Agencies embrace the very best that academics, researchers and technology providers have to offer in this field.”

The Fortinus Global team has a vast depth and breadth of experience in Global Border Management, and continues to invest in high quality events and research on modern and future border management.

“The principles of integrated border management, multiple borders and identity management remain valid and will endure” said Tony Smith. “At the same time we need a paradigm shift in embracing the very latest technology has to offer, to help us secure our borders and promote global trade.”

Fortinus Global has already presented at several high profile events in 2017 including the Border Security Expo (San Antonio, Texas); the Border Management & Technologies Summit (London, UK); the International Summit on Borders (Washington DC) and Secure Document World (London UK). Plans are now well advanced for the second ASEAN Border Management and Technologies Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia later this year.

“Events like these are vital for developing collaboration between Border Agencies, transportation companies and technology providers” said Smith. “At the end of the day we all want the same thing – a better travel experience without compromising security. We at Fortinus Global will continue to support this mission.”

In addition to their work on research and events, Fortinus Global continue to support Border Agencies around the world in the development of Border Strategies and Border Transformation; and high quality suppliers of Border related technologies in pursuit of this goal.
